1,2:3,4:5,6-Tri-O-isopropylidene-D-mannitol is a dietary fiber that is made up of inulin and oligosaccharides. It can be found in various plants and vegetables. This dietary fiber has been shown to have cancer preventive properties. 1,2:3,4:5,6-Tri-O-isopropylidene-D-mannitol has also been shown to decrease the risk of colon cancer by reducing the production of diacylglycerol which is an important signaling molecule in carcinogenesis.
