4-Methylumbelliferyl b-D-gentiotrioside is a fluorogenic substrate that can be used in the detection of β-glucosidase activity. It reacts with β-glucosidase to produce 4-methylumbelliferone, which emits blue light at 405 nm when mixed with the chromogenic substrate 4-methylumbelliferone sodium phosphate. This product is used as a reagent for detecting β-glucosidase activity in food testing and environmental testing. This product has a conjugate that can be used for enzyme substrates, diagnostics, ligands, chemiluminescence, and bioluminescence.
